Last 2 weeks of July!

Our summer session is almost over! Next Tuesday is our last day til September, when Countryside Playschool will become part of the Tristate Educators Association of Christian Homeschoolers (TEACH)! We have one spot open for ages 2-6 in prek - see the TEACH blog at qache.blogspot.com for openings in co op for grades 1-8.  We've had a wonderful time with your children & hope you can pop in to visit now & then!

Ella brought cousin Mara to visit last week

Bike day was so fun! We'll have to have more in the future!

Making our terrariums

They turned out great!

Happy lunch friends :0)

Ezra brought cousin Gunney - he loves to build & PAINT!

I love that these guys still love to dress up! And get goofy - wow!

Mara said she feels 4 again!

(sorry! the boys need more dress up clothes apparently!)

Ella taught us how to play Frogger

Anneliese's class made cloth wreaths!

This week - here's Simeon drawing a volcano with smoke!

...and a balloon blower upper!

Made up games are sometimes the most fun - this balloon had dozens of questions on it for a tossing game!

Jude enjoyed building with the legos

Bre joined us this week - the girls loved playing badmitten!

We made hand-cranked ice cream for Ben's birthday this week - Happy #8!!!

Henry & Jasper cranked the longest & hardest!!  They finally decided soft serve was just fine ;0)

YUM!!!  A fantastic ending to a fantastic summer!

Week 2 of July - Friday

I love that many of the children make things for each other even during the week

The Hanchetts brought some friends to join us this week! Welcome to another Josie, Silas & Mathias

Asher made a bird feeder! Next to him is a log cabin by Ella :0)

More birds have nested in the cattails!

Cooling off

The Josie's painting together

What's under old logs?? These guys are curious to see!

Week 2 of July - Tuesday

Anneliese was on vacation this week so I got to teach the older class! I've missed these guys :0)
String Art!

These turned out beautifully!

Excited!

I'm not a big fan of most things at the $1 store...but these wood vehicle building kits are really cool!  Malachi put one together in a very different way than the directions - he called it a 'motorcycle airplane' ;0)

Frame-able

Rachel & Josie love this fort - and now it has a hammock

This net was a great buy for Countryside - we use it for badmitten & volleyball!  It has anchors, but is easily moveable

Pretend castle play! I love the knight on the polar bear...so thankful for a large window that lets in some natural light
