Our first day is coming up so fast & I can't wait to meet everyone! On our first day, the 'payment ladies' (as I'm calling them!) will take payments for all classes so the other teachers & I can focus on our students. Here is the general schedule for our class - but we will do things more in order than by time:
930-945 Arrive & Free Play
945-1015 Circle Time - Songs & Stories
1015-1115 Project Time & Free Play
1115-1130 Clean Up & Bathrooms
1130-12 Lunch & review
12-1230 Bathrooms & Outside
Drop off will be in the classroom - pick up will be outside unless it's raining. We will either be on the playground or under the shade trees by the bridge. Please collect your child's lunch & projects from the room before picking up your child outside, & either bring your older children with you or have another parent watch them while you pick up your prek student.
I have found that it is easier to have short goodbyes & long hellos...meaning a quick drop off is often easier for the children. The flow of our day will also go more smoothly if parents visit outside the classroom & not in it :0)
At pickup time feel free to stay & play on the playground as long as you want (long hellos!). I may need to be with my older children & a few others before 4th hour begins so if I have to run that is why! Do call or email any time you have questions or if someone besides you will be picking up/dropping off.
Finally, we have 2 openings in prek if you have friends who might be interested! We had some sisters who ended up needing to go to public prek & kindergarten.
