Week two!

We added 2 more friends today - welcome to Ben, my youngest (age 3) & Ella, Ezra's sister (age 6)!  Today we read "The Apple Pie Tree" & heard the story of the Star in the Apple (a house with no windows & no doors & a star inside).  Then we used real knives to cut up yummy organic golden delicious apples from Blue Heron Orchard http://www.blueheronorchard.com/ to make apple sauce!  Delish :0)  As that was cooking we had our free play time and everyone wanted to paint an apple tree using Q-tips.  We now have individual cubbies for lunches, papers, etc., and Thank You so much to Katy Love for letting us use her bookshelf, parachute & fairy bower!  We will get the parachute out next week for some outdoor games, and hopefully get the bower hung...little by little....here's are some pictures....
We have a great outdoor area for ball, tag, and lots of running!

Nice face ;0) Everyone loves dress up...

Some tea, sir?

Get cookin' Gigi!

Mandolin & Isaac practice using knives to cut up the apples....no one lost a finger today!

Isaac really loved cutting apples, and both he & Silas were fearless!

Our bean sensory tub got a bit crazy - but we have awesome cleaner-uppers :0)

Ben's first day - relaxing with one of his favorite train books...

Crazy beans!

Great minds working together

Hadn't thought of this one - ordering the tree blocks by size!

Passing out napkins, bowls, spoons, plates, mugs

I think Gigi can see the spoon, Ben!

What a beautiful full table for fellowship!  We were so busy getting things ready we forgot to pray today - we'll find our rhythm eventually :0)  Silas prayed for us last week!

Cooked apples just before we pulverized them!  Yes, it was warm, cinnamon applesauce....yum.

A delicious meal together :0)  We had homemade whole wheat bread, homemade butter, homemade organic applesauce, homemade hummus w/ carrots grown in our garden, cashew butter, and tuna.
Another wonderful day!  If you wonder what we did outside at the end of the day, it was the same as last week ;0)  These guys LOVE dirt, sticks, and acorns!
